As an independent dance artist based in the East Midlands, Schani has built up a portfolio including long-term development work and shorter term or "one-off" contracts. He has worked as an artist and facilitator with many community groups within both open and discreet settings, including mental health, dementia care, older people, deaf and disabled people and integrated community groups. He has also undertaken project work for Talking With Hands deaf and inclusive youth group in Northampton, Dudley Dance Consortium, the Second Bite project in Rotherham and the Alternative Activities Centre for people with learning disabilities in Derby.
