Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest and most celebrated religious dance forms in India, comprising of two different types of dance. Nritta, or pure dance, combines intricate feet movements with the abstract movements of the rest of the body. Abhinaya, or expressional dance, includes facial expressions and hand movements to express moods or feelings.
