![]() |
On Thursday 22 May at 8pm, Scotland’s most critically-acclaimed dance company Curve Foundation invite you to help them celebrate their 10th year of producing diverse and beautiful work with a performance featuring two seasons, a Duo and some Fragments.
Curve Foundation will present a feast for eyes and ears with wonderful new dance pieces to two movements from Vivaldi’s world-famous Four Seasons, performed live on stage by the renowned Edinburgh Quartet.
Belgian Filip Van Huffel, Artistic Director of Retina Dance Company whose This is not a body appeared at Derby Dance in March, will bring the wonderfully evocative season of Spring to life through exquisite choreography.
Winter might be considered the darkest of the seasons, but Rui Lopes Graca, Resident Choreographer for the National Ballet of Portugal, will do it justice with a richly creative response to Vivaldi’s majestic music.
Showing only at Derby Dance, watch two dancers cutting through space in Duo, a technically challenging but beautiful duet from legendary New York choreographer William Forsythe.
Rounding off this evening of exceptional dance and music is the unmissable Fragments by up-and-coming star of the British dance scene Hofesh Shecter, featuring music by Bach, Eric Idle and Hofesh himself.
Tickets for Curve Foundation Dance Company on Thursday 22 May are £10 (£8 concessions), available from Derby Dance Box Office on 01332 370911.
